From a Jewelry House to an Industry Trendsetter – The Story of a Partnership
We share the story of a true partnership, built on trust and lasting client relationships. Our journey with jewelry house SOVA began in 2017, growing together every step of the way. Together, we refined the branding, discovered the brand’s voice, and developed strategies while perfecting tactics. Today, SOVA stands as a widely talked-about brand, a trendsetter, an icon to emulate, and a true symbol of excellence.
Challenge
To describe this, we will need to significantly generalize the challenges, as we act as a communications and design partner for this client for over 7 years. During this period, we have accomplished a lot—achievements that can be measured in numbers, the size of the retail network, sales volumes, and the number of launched jewelry collections. However, the main investment we’ve made as an agency is trust. We are an integrated part of the team, its extension.
Now, back to the challenges—making the brand more recognizable, finding that unique style that stands out, and surrounding the brand with all the necessary attributes. Ensuring all communications are consistent so the brand’s signature is unmistakable. Naturally, the focus was on expanding the retail network, increasing sales, and achieving an explosive growth in brand awareness.
Approach
The client already had a logo, so we began by enhancing the brand identity, developing the communication style, and designing the packaging. We decorated retail locations with image-based posters and materials to inform customers about new collections and promotions. It’s worth noting that all these elements have evolved and been updated over the years.
Together with the client, we spent considerable time exploring and discussing a unique communication format, identifying differentiating attributes, and gradually shaping a distinctive style to promote the brand and its collections. Indeed, the collections were placed at the forefront. SOVA is not just a brand, but a whole ensemble of jewelry collections. Each has its own release cycle and purpose. The launch of a collection or campaign serves as a milestone marking the company’s growth. There have been high-profile collaborations and profound, meaningful concepts.
As an agency, we provide full-service support for each collection—we assist with naming, participate in evaluating product designs, handle creative production for photoshoots and retouching, and select key visuals. Then, we scale the idea to dominate the media space. We design for social media, websites, banner ads, city billboards, brand walls, motion design, and placements in magazines like Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and others.
The second aspect involves ongoing promotional campaigns—once or twice a month, for various occasions or just because: Mother’s Day, Black Friday, Christmas… We manage these campaigns from concept to all materials across all available channels, ensuring an integral and consistent communication approach. Our campaigns are creatively designed and reflect the company’s identity, showcasing its character at every step.
The third aspect is how we differentiated the brand. In a sense, this brand broke the mold, introducing bold solutions and unconventional approaches to a market where companies often copy each other and produce dull, generic jewelry. This made purchasing SOVA jewelry as appealing as acquiring pieces from renowned global brands.
Impact
The greatest achievement is that over the years, the SOVA brand has become a symbol of Ukraine, one of the most recognizable brands, and one of the most dynamically developing retail networks in the jewelry segment. Owning SOVA jewelry has, without exaggeration, become a dream for every Ukrainian woman.
Together, we achieved strong media coverage and significant presence in the public sphere. Sales are breaking records, and each new collection is highly anticipated. Collaborating with the brand has become prestigious not only for designers but also for celebrities and major companies.
